Local showbiz is dominated by love teams of all ages. There are married couples, real-life lovers, almost lovers, and onscreen sweethearts. But no matter what their real score is, most love teams have terms of endearment for one another.

It’s normal for couples to give cute and sweet names to each other. It’s an act of showing your love and care for them. Many showbiz lovebirds and onscreen partners are so fond of using “pet names” which is an affectionate alternative instead of using a first name. If a love team starts to use terms of endearment, it only means that they are already comfortable with each other. Best case scenario is they’re already attached to each other romantically.

Check out our list of the most popular terms of endearment our favorite love teams use. For all we know, these lovey-dovey duos call each other by these cute names every single time!

“Bal” or “Tangi”

Used by real-life lovers Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla. “Tangi” means my “one and only.”

“Bal” or “Tangi”

Enrique Gil loves to call his lady love Liza Soberano “baby.” He has actually slipped many times on national television!

Merry Christmas from our Family (not complete) to yours!!! ❤ Its our (@soberanojustin and I) first time to not celebrate christmas in our house. It may not be the traditional way of celebrating but nonetheless is it meaningful. There were many firsts for us and Im happy I get to spend it with people I love dearly. Sadly my dad, stepmom and new baby sister werent with us for christmas because my dad was denied of a UK visa, but they are enjoying in Paris!! 💚❤ I also want to take the time to say thank you to @angelydub of @accesstravelph for taking good care of us, and for organising this trip. We couldn’t have done it without you!! Of course Ms. Thess Romero and sir Jun for helping my dad out with his visa. Also, happy birthday Jesus. Thank you Papa God for sacrificing your only begotten son for the lives of many, let us not take that for granted. Merry Christmas again everyone and Enjoy!! 🎄

“Baba” and “Baby”

Used by Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia. Julia’s way of calling Joshua “Baba” is very distinct! We can even hear her inside our heads saying the word “Baba.”

“Jowa” and “Prinsesa”

They may not be together for now, but Maymay Entrata and Edward Barber are very comfortable to joke about being together. They sometimes call each other “Jowa ko” and there are times where Edward calls Maymay his “Prinsesa.”
